Why Develop A Strategic Communication Plan for Health Services, Inc.

February is Heart Awareness Month. We are a health organization that prides itself on providing primary care services to the medically underserved residents of South Central Alabama. The Alabama Department of Public Health already calls attention to cardiovascular disease in the state. As a health organization that operates across counties, it is important for us to call attention to this issue.   Our target audience are the individuals in our communities who otherwise wouldn’t have access to medical care.  By teaming up with local organizations such as senior centers, emergency feeding programs, homeless shelters, and others, we can increase the number of people getting blood pressure screenings and provide information on cardiovascular care and available community and medical resources.
